“Made in America

This is our theme for this year’s Freedom Week Festival fine arts and crafts show. Taking place during the first two days of our area's only week long Independence Day festival. You can enjoy the 4th of July Parade followed directly by the opening of our show and then on to a full week of activities.

The intent is to have this show recognized for it's unrivaled artists and craftman.

Our jury will select the artists and awards given for ‘Best of Show’ in each category.

We also have fanastic opportunities for food vendors. Our food court will no doubt ad to the draw. We are selecting a wide variety of foods so as to provide something for everyone.

Our fine artists are invited to show on the 4th and 5th for the Fine Art and Craft show, our vendors will stay on for the full week for our food court area.

With the Made in America art fair, Freedom Ride blessing of the bikes, Thank a Vet veteran recognition, 'Kids in the Park' craft day, In God We Trust, American Innovation,  Young America Day,  musical acts performing each day, we create a draw throughout the whole week.

As the Tawas Bay region is a popular Independence Day destination,  we enjoy an enthusiastic audience of both our local community and visitors from all over.

The press has also been very good to us. This year we can expect not just the attention of local television and news papers, but also our radio sponsors 91.3 FM, The Rock www.myrock.fm, www.wkjc.com  , Carroll Broadcasting and a variety of websites such as America's #1 travel website 'Pure Michigan' at  www.michigan.org.  We have an aggressive marketing campaign in place for  maximum crowd draw.

Hours for "Made in America",  our Weekend kickoff will be  July 4th, 2009  Hours will begin at 12n – 8:00pm Saturday and 11am – 7pm Sunday. Early arrival and set up times on Friday the 3rd are available, please inquire.

Festival Hours, for July 6th, 2009 Monday through Friday 4pm - 8pm. Though music will likely extend later and food vendors are welcomed to extend their hours both earlier and later.

The show is set in  Harbor Park, the Lake Huron side park at the State Dock, in the heart of bustling downtown East Tawas.  That's at the intersection of U.S. 23 and Bay Street directly cross from Newman Street East Tawas' downtown district. Easy Parking, camping and shopping are within reach.  Tawas Bay is a full service small community with excellent restaurants, hotels, cabins, medical care and local shops - you're sure to find something special right here in Tawas Bay, Michigan.
